Vancouver Dog Hiking

Servicing East Vancouver, Burnaby and the North Shore

Because sometimes city walks just don’t cut it…

We provide structured, off-leash pack hikes through real mountain terrain. Designed for high-energy, social dogs that need more than a neighbourhood walk.

The Hike

5km

90 mins

Two dogs, one tan and scruffy, the other black and shiny, sitting on a dirt path in a forested area.

Most of our hikes take place on the North Shore. They’re usually around 5km or about 90 minutes and allow dogs to move at a natural pace.

The distance and terrain mean dogs return home more tired, exercised and mentally stimulated than a traditional walk.

How it works

Initial Assessment

All of our pups start with a simple assessment. We want to get to know them one-on-one before introducing them to the rest of the pack. This will usually take place at their home where they feel most comfortable.

Fees

Group adventure hikes start at $35/dog. Private hikes start at $45/dog. Get in touch with us for the most accurate pricing and special offers.

Safety

Each dog is set up with their own real-time GPS tracker so both we and you can follow along at all times. All of our hikers are trained in pet first aid and carry a first aid kit on every hike.

What our clients are saying

“Our dog comes home genuinely tired after these hikes. You can tell the difference between a normal walk and a good hike. And I’m pretty confident Darrell feels the same considering he naps for the rest of the day.”

— Mary Clare K.

“I have to say that handing your dog over to someone else can be scary, but Loretta’s structure and communication makes it really easy. You can tell just by how excited Archie gets when she comes to pick him up. And how exhausted he is when he gets home.”

— Harvey D.

“Loretta is fabulous! She cares a lot about her clients’ dogs and it shows. I would highly recommend Loretta and Francis if you’re looking for a professional and reliable dog hiking company.”

Meet the Founder

I’ve loved dogs for as long as I can remember. I’m happiest outside with them, walking or hiking, letting them move, sniff, and just be dogs. I pay a lot of attention to how they act in a group and how they respond to different situations.

I take the responsibility of being with someone’s dog seriously, and I care a lot about them feeling safe and comfortable on the trail. It’s simple, but it means a lot to me.

Let’s get these tails on the trails!
